Ficus is an excellent tree for those who are new to bonsai and would like a tree they can enjoy indoors during winter. These 6-year-old shohin (small size) trees will be styled and potted into ceramic bonsai containers during the workshop. Instruction will focus on horticulture and aftercare so students can take home a styled tree to enjoy for years to come.
Central Kentucky Bonsai Society will be offering three Introductory Bonsai workshops in conjunction with the 4th annual Michler's Bonsai Exhibit, 417 East Maxwell Street, Lexington KY (Parking is on East High Street. Look for Kentucky Native Café sign).
PLEASE NOTE: All workshops are outdoors. Please dress for the weather, and bring any bonsai tools (if you have them) or gardening tools and shears. All other supplies will be provided.
Cancellation policy: We understand life can get in the way, however, full refunds will be issued up to 30 days prior to the event. After 30 days, only if we can fill the seat.
